In these turbulent and fast changing times, we wanted to provide a breakdown of some of changes and rules that are impacting the truckers who are working to make sure food and supplies get to stores across the country. Here are just a few of the changes, as well as some rest areas and truck stops that are open or changing how they work.

FMCSA temporarily removes hours of service requirements for drivers hauling emergency restocks, medical supplies and sanitation supplies. Learn more

FMCSA grants waiver from certain requirements applicable to interstate and instrastate CDL and CLP holders until June 30. Learn more

FMCSA waives enforcement of expired or expiring CDLs and CLP so long as they were valid on Feb 29, 2020. This is in effect through June 30, 2020. Learn more

Oregon DOT is providing in-person transactions by appointment only for motor carriers. Call to schedule or use Oregon Trucking Online. Learn more

Washington State DOT closes all Good To Go centers indefinitely. Call or visit their website to manage your account. Learn more

Caltrans suspends cash toll at all Bay Area toll bridges. Learn more

Canada issues Hours of Service relief to truck drivers engaged in coronavirus-related relief assistance efforts. Learn more

Rest Areas and Truck Stops

Love’s Truck Stops: increased the number of hand sanitizing stations Drivers can limit contact by paying at the pump and/or get receipts via the Love’s Mobile Pay app. Private showers are also still available. Learn more

All Pilot Flying J locations are open, as are fueling stations, showers, laundry and restrooms. Drivers can limit contact by using the Pilot Flying J app to pay and reserve showers. Food service is carryout only. Learn more

Texas Roadhouse is allowing semi truck parking where parking lots are big enough to accommodate trucks. Order online or over the phone, and employees will walk your order to your truck. Learn more

Franklin County Distilleries bar and grill in SW Virginia on hwy 220 has online ordering and curbside pickup, plus truck parking. Learn more
