Built for the local and regional haul, the new VNR Electric by Volvo was the first-to-market heavy-duty electric truck.
It offers the same three platforms as the diesel-powered VNR, as well as the power, comforts and safety drivers know with the VNR. However, the Electric has zero emissions, creating a cleaner planet for us all to enjoy. Volvo introduced the Class 8 VNR Electric to the West Coast in June 2020 through the Volvo LIGHTS project, which TEC Equipment has been proud to participate in since day one.

Volvo Gold Contract
The new Volvo Gold Contract is the first service contract of its kind from Volvo Trucks North America and comes standard with all Volvo VNR Electric trucks. This turn-key solution gives customers the operational peace of mind with their electric truck. It includes scheduled and preventative maintenance, towing and vehicle repair. The Gold Contract also includes coverage of the vehicle’s lithium-ion batteries and complete electromobility system to ensure peak vehicle uptime, performance and productivity.
Customers also enjoy the full Uptime Services bundle from Volvo Trucks, with enhancements to include a new battery monitoring service. Remote Diagnostics, Volvo Action Service and ASIST via the Volvo Trucks Uptime Center offer 24/7 customer support. The Volvo Gold Contract also continues to give customers the full support of the authorized Volvo Trucks dealer network with certified Volvo technicians using genuine Volvo parts and service procedures.
