TEC Equipment – Fontana just earned the designation of the first Volvo EV Certified Dealer in North America and is excited to help customers introduce electric vehicles into their fleets.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Volvo Trucks and to have our Fontana location be the first to achieve the Volvo EV Certified Dealer certification,” said David Thompson, founder and CEO. “Over the past year, our Fontana technicians gained valuable experience maintaining our own Volvo VNR Electric truck, as well as performing routine maintenance for several of our Southern California customers who are running VNR Electrics in the region. We are fully prepared to support fleets in Southern California with their electric vehicles.”

The designation means TEC Equipment – Fontana’s sales team is trained to consult with customers on any of the VNR Electric model configurations. Additionally, the service team is fully trained and equipped to safely perform battery-electric truck maintenance and repairs for trucks in operation. And the parts department maintains a stock of key parts and components for the VNR Electric to minimize service times and get customers in Southern California back on the road faster.

TEC has been a key part of bringing Volvo electric vehicles to market since Volvo first launched its electric vehicle program. During the Volvo LIGHTS project, TEC was an integral partner and deployed the first Volvo VNR Electric model in North America. Learn more about TEC’s involvement in the LIGHTS project.

At TEC Equipment – Fontana, and throughout the entire TEC Equipment footprint, we’re excited to support the future of electric heavy-duty vehicles in North America and to be the inaugural member of the Volvo EV Certified Dealership network in North America. We are committed to being Your Best Business Partner. That means a sales team to help you find the right EV configuration for your business, and parts and service teams to support you for the lifetime of the truck.
