Volvo Trucks North America introduces the all-new Volvo VNL series, a revolutionary long-haul truck blending innovative technologies with cutting-edge design for top safety, aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, and driver comfort.

Safety

Safety is a key feature of the all-new VNL, with standard Volvo Active Driver Assist by Bendix. This advanced system includes collision warnings, active braking, and automatic braking for stationary vehicles, complemented by a heads-up windshield display. Enhanced with Volvo Enhanced Stability Technology, high-strength steel construction, a driver-side airbag, and an integrated rollover airbag, the all-new VNL exceeds rigorous safety standards.

Aerodynamics

The all-new VNL’s aerodynamic design is both striking and functional. It features swept-back headlights, a bold grille, and optimized airflow elements like redesigned engine air intakes and chassis fairings. The truck’s roofline and “ski-jump” roof extender improve air flow around the cab and trailer, reducing drag and enhancing stability. Side deflectors and an extended aero package guide air efficiently to the trailer.

Fuel Efficiency

The all-new VNL excels in fuel efficiency with its standard 13-liter Volvo D13 engine and options for the 11-liter D11 and 15-liter Cummins X15 engines. The D13 Turbo Compound (D13 TC) engine, with its waste heat recovery system, offers a 6.5% fuel efficiency improvement. Combined with aerodynamic upgrades, the all-new VNL provides up to 7.5% better fuel efficiency compared to previous models.

Interior

Inside, the all-new VNL features a driver-focused design with a five-inch color display for trip and diagnostic data. An optional infotainment system includes a seven-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay. The smart steering wheel and air-assisted steering column are adjustable for driver comfort, and seating options include premium features like heating and ventilation.

Exterior

The all-new VNL’s exterior combines advanced design with functionality. The sleek, wedge-shaped body and optimized roofline enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The new three-piece bumper, redesigned grille, and integrated LED headlights improve cooling and reduce drag. FlowBelow rear fairings and aerodynamic wheel covers manage airflow around the rear axles, boosting overall performance.

All-New VNL 860
